As you are aware that we conduct an National Level Online Examination for the Junior Group (class VI to VIII) and for the Senior Group (class IX to XI). The Exam Paper consists 100 multiple choice questions.Evaluation of student is based on his/her individual performance. The examination is conducted in English and Hindi along with other major regional languages.
For the above mentioned programme we hereby appeal / invite the teachers / lecturers / professors / scientists / science communicators from the entire country to submit the questions of the subject they like the most and join us as the Academic Resource Person for VVM 2019-20.
The shortlisting will be done on the basis of uniqueness, originality and quality of the submitted questions.

Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) is a science movement led by eminent scientists for the total development of nation. VIBHA conducts its activities through the 27 independent state units functioning across the country.
Vijnana Bharati, a movement for addressing the scientific and technological concerns of Bharat was initiated in the science by a few eminent scientists, under the able leadership of Prof. K I Vasu (then the professor of metallurgy in IISC, Bangalore) in the early eighties. Later in 21st October 1991, Vijnana – Bharati was launched officially at Nagpur as professional cum popular movement. From the humble beginning, the movement spread its wings across the nation. Taking cognizance of the Vijnana Bharati’s contribution in the field of Science & Technology, Govt. of India (Prime minister, Sri Manmohan Singh) awarded the movement with Nehru – Prize in the year 2007.
Vijnana Bharati was also awarded by Govt. of India in recognition of the outstanding contributions in the field of science communication among masses. Climate CoLab, an initiative by Vibha titled “National Campaign in India aimed to create a network of young Energy Ambassadors”. Vijnana Bharati is widely recognized as a movement for swadeshi sciences and a movement with swadeshi spirit. It works for the total development of Bharat through the application of science and technology in all possible areas. It is working in different areas through autonomous institutions, independent organizations and also as project entities.
One of the major programmes of VIBHA is Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) - Science Talent Search Examination. VVM has garnered wide acceptance and it acts as a platform which inculcates Swadeshi Spirit and excellence among students over the years. It has been instrumental in shaping talent for the future India.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national level talent search examination for future India. It is a brain child of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) and started in Kerala with Shastra Pratibha Matsaram through Swadeshi Science Movement-regional chapter of VIBHA since 1999. It is the only programme at national level which inculcates pride in every enrolled student for the Indian contribution in science and technology from ancient to modern era. VVM is totally focused on school going children from class VI to XI for educating and popularizing science among them. It is a platform to inculcate and generate interest in pure science, foster excellence, mentor them for their career in science.
The 7th Edition of the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2018 programme was launched on 15th July, 2018 by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) joining the hands with Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India for organizing VVM 2018-19.
More than 6200 schools registered for VVM 2018-19 online examination with 1,44,839 students. Including 6,000 students who registered them with us in Individual Student category. 1,35,000 students appeared in the examination and about 1,32,000 students successfully completed their exam and were considered eligible in final evaluation process. National level examination (Level-I, School Level) was conducted on 25th November, 2018 (Phase-I), 28th November, 2018 (Phase-II) and 30th November, 2018 (Phase-III).
Three Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy Three (3573) students (top 20 rankers of each class i.e. 6th to 11th) based on their performance in online examination were found eligible for participation in State Level Camps where each student competed with other students of the same class from across the state. Keeping in view the minimum number of the students required for a state to be decided as the individual entity a few states have been merged according to their geographic and cultural similarities to attain the same. In this way it was decided to conduct 27 State Level Camps out of which 26 state level camps have already been conducted.
Apart from this 14845 students were recognized as School Level Winners and 9139 students were recognised as District Level Winners. National Camp of the same for about 327 selected students is decided to be conducted at Hyderabad on 18 and 19 May, 2019.
