Acharya Sir Prafulla Chandra Ray CIE, FNI, FRASB, FIAS, FCS was an eminent Bengali chemist, educationist, historian, industrialist and philanthropist. He established the rst modern Indian research school in chemistry and is regarded as the father of chemical science in India.
