Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is conducted in the GCC countries—Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates—under the name Śāstra Pratibhā Contest by Science India/International Forum, an overseas unit of Vijnana Bharati.

From this year onwards, the top 2 rankers (Class VI–XI) of the Śāstra Pratibhā Contest will also participate in the National Level Camp Examination. These students will be considered eligible for selection as National Level Winners (Himalayans).

A separate zone (Zone 5) will be created for GCC countries to declare Zonal Level Winners. GCC students will be eligible to compete in both the GCC Zone and the National Zone (Himalayan) subjected to VVM terms and conditions for international participation.
